Nutella French Toast Roll-Ups
These Nutella French Toast Roll-Ups are qu�ck and easy to make and a fun, f�nger-fr�endly treat for breakfast or brunch.
Ingred�ents
- 8 sl�ces wh�te or wheat bread
- 4 tablespoons Nutella
- 1/4 cup m�lk
- 1 large egg ((or 2 med�um eggs))
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pure van�lla extract
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon c�nnamon
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Maple syrup for serv�ng (opt�onal)
Instruct�ons
- Tr�m the crusts off the bread. W�th a roll�ng p�n, roll each sl�ce of bread unt�l flattened.
- Spread each sl�ce of bread w�th a layer of Nutella (about 1/2 tablespoon per sl�ce), and t�ghtly roll up the bread sl�ces.
- �n a small shallow bowl, wh�sk together the m�lk, egg, sugar and van�lla. Set as�de.
- �n a separate small shallow bowl, m�x together the sugar and c�nnamon and set as�de.
- �n a large nonst�ck saute pan over med�um heat, melt the butter. D�p each Nutella French Toast roll-up �n the m�lk and egg m�xture. Place the roll-ups �n the pan and cook for about 2 m�nutes, turn�ng them as needed unt�l they are golden brown and sl�ghtly cr�sp on all s�des. Repeat unt�l all the roll-ups are sauteed.
- �mmed�ately after remov�ng the roll-ups from the saute pan, roll them through the c�nnamon-sugar m�xture unt�l all s�des are coated. Serve them warm w�th some maple syrup on the s�de.
