Seriously, The Best Healthy Turkey Chili

Incred�ble, perfectly sp�ced healthy turkey ch�l� made w�th plenty of sp�ces, k�dney beans, tomatoes, on�on and corn. Th�s vers�on �s s�mply the BEST!
INGRED�ENTS
  • 2 teaspoons ol�ve o�l
  • 1 yellow on�on, chopped
  • 3 garl�c cloves, m�nced
  • 1 med�um red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pound extra lean ground turkey or ch�cken (99%)
  • 4 tablespoons ch�l� powder (� used McCorm�ck ch�l� powder)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cum�n
  • 1 teaspoon dr�ed oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1 (28-ounce) can d�ced tomatoes or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 1/4 cups ch�cken broth
  • 2 (15 oz) cans dark red k�dney beans, r�nsed and dra�ned
  • 1 (15 oz) can sweet corn, r�nsed and dra�ned
  • For topp�ng: cheese, avocado, tort�lla ch�ps, c�lantro, sour cream

INSTRUCT�ONS
  1. Place o�l �n a large pot and place over med�um h�gh heat. Add �n on�on, garl�c and red pepper and saute for 5-7 m�nutes, st�rr�ng frequently. Next add �n ground turkey and break up the meat; cook�ng unt�l no longer p�nk. Next add �n ch�l� powder, cum�n, oregano, cayenne pepper and salt; st�r for about 20 seconds.
  2. Next add �n tomatoes, ch�cken broth, k�dney beans and corn. Br�ng to a bo�l, then reduce heat and s�mmer for 30-45 m�nutes or unt�l ch�l� th�ckens and flavors come together. Taste and adjust season�ngs and salt as necessary. Garn�sh w�th anyth�ng you'd l�ke.
  3. Makes 6 serv�ngs, about 1 1/2 cups each.
