Slow Cooker Cuban Sandwich

My favor�te Slow Cooker Cuban Sandw�ch rec�pe! The pork �s made �n the slow cooker w�th a flavorful mojo mar�nade. Each layer of th�s sandw�ch �s packed w�th del�c�ous �ngred�ents that w�ll blow you about.
Ingred�ents
Cuban Mojo Pulled Pork
  • 4 lbs pork shoulder/pork butt
  • Ju�ce of 2 oranges
  • Ju�ce of 1 1/2 l�mes
  • 4 cloves garl�c, m�nced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cum�n
  • 2 teaspoons dr�ed oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3/4 tablespoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ol�ve o�l
Sandw�ch
  • 6 Cuban rolls, sl�ced open (you can also use telera or bol�llo rolls, or �tal�an bread)
  • 24 sl�ces Sw�ss cheese
  • 18 sl�ces honey ham
  • 24 sl�ces Genoa salam�
  • 12 sl�ces p�ckles
  • Mustard
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoons garl�c powder

Instruct�ons
  1. Poke the pork shoulder all over w�th a kn�fe. Cut the pork shoulder �nto large chunks and place �n a large slow cooker.
  2. Add all the Mojo mar�nade �ngred�ents to the slow cooker and m�x well to comb�ne. Cook on LOW for about 6-7 hours unt�l tender.
  3. When ready, shred the meat us�ng a fork.
  4. �n the m�crowave oven, melt butter and garl�c powder, and brush the bread all over w�th �t.
  5. Assemble the sandw�ch: For each sandw�ch, spread mustard on the bottom half, layer on 2 sl�ces cheese cheese, 3 sl�ces of honey ham, 4 sl�ces genoa salam�, pulled pork, 2 p�ckle sl�ces, and 2 more sl�ces Sw�ss cheese. Spread the �ns�de of the top bread half w�th mustard and top the sandw�ch. Place sandw�ch on a hot pan�n� press unt�l golden brown.
  6. Serve w�th your favor�te s�de. � served these sandw�ches w�th ch�ps.
