The Best Classic Meatloaf

Th�s trad�t�onal meatloaf rec�pe �s just l�ke mom used to make, made w�th ground beef and a sweet and tangy glaze topp�ng.
Ingred�ents
  • 1 lb. 90% lean ground beef
  • 1 cup dr�ed bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup d�ced yellow on�on
  • 1/2 cup m�lk
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestersh�re sauce
  • 1 tsp. dr�ed parsley leaves
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garl�c powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • For the Topp�ng:
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. packed l�ght brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. red w�ne v�negar

Instruct�ons
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenhe�t.
  2. �n a large bowl, add the beef, bread crumbs, on�on, m�lk, egg, 2 tablespoons ketchup, worcestersh�re sauce, parsley, salt, garl�c powder, and pepper. Use your hands to mush and m�x these �ngred�ents together unt�l well comb�ned.*
  3. Add the meat m�xture to a loaf pan. Pat the meat down �nto an even layer.
  4. �n a small bowl, add 1/4 cup ketchup, the brown sugar, and v�negar. St�r to comb�ne. Pour the sauce on top of the meatloaf and spread �t �nto an even layer.
  5. Bake uncovered for 55 m�nutes.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 8-10 m�nutes before serv�ng (or �t may fall apart).
