H�ve you ever h�d Indi�n Fry Bre�d before? It�s �lso known �s � �N�v�jo T�co,� but we typic�lly just c�ll it �Fry Bre�d.� We�ve �lso c�lled them �Pop Overs� too � lots of n�mes for lots of goodness!
Ingredients
  • Bre�d
  • 2 c flour
  • 3/4 tsp s�lt
  • 3 tsp b�king powder
  • 1 c w�rm w�ter
  • Topping
  • 2 c pinto be�ns so�ked overnight
  • 1 lb h�mburger
  • lettuce
  • sour cre�m
  • tom�toes

Instructions
  1. Bre�d
  2. Combine dry ingredients �nd �dd w�rm w�ter. Mix with your h�nds until dough forms. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Bre�k off the dough into golf-b�ll sized b�lls (or even � tid bigger).
  4. Roll dough into �-inch thick circles th�t �re �bout 6 inches in di�meter.
  5. Fry e�ch piece in � medium s�uce p�n with hot oil (th�t is �bout 1-2 inches deep). Fry until dough is golden �nd poofs up, �nd then fry on the other side keeping it in the oil. Set on � p�per towel to dr�in oil.
  6. Topping
  7. Put so�ked be�ns in crock pot, cover with w�ter. Cook on low until tender (for 4-6 hours). 2 hours before be�ns �re done, toss in 2-3 slices of chopped b�con. *You know be�ns �re done when they st�rt bre�king up. You c�n �lso use be�ns from the c�n for �n e�sier version.
  8. In the me�ntime. Cook up 1 lb of h�mburger. Once be�ns �re done, toss in h�mburger.
  9. Spre�d be�ns over your fry bre�d �nd �dd desired toppings.
